"price" of luxury?

Is Global Warming the 'price' to pay for our luxurious life? Transports such as cars allow us to get to our destination fast...whats the price? pollution by the cars...nitrogen oxides,sulphur dioxide are just one of the gases produced by cars. Sulphur dioxide can also cause acid rain. Greenhouse gases are also produced by cars which also results in Global Warming by the trapping of heat in the atmosphere. Generally most people who can afford a car are those who are rich...therefore it seems that rich people are causing the 'trouble' compared to the 'not so rich' people who even have problems having a proper meal...why would they even think of buying/owning a car?
